Our findings identify groups of gamblers who show signs of potentially risky behaviours, specifically gambling intensity and frequency. We assess the first month of play following registration using four behavioural markers: trajectory, frequency, intensity and variability. In this paper we build on previous research analysing behavioural markers for high-risk Internet gambling using a new casino data set of active real money Internet gamblers. Nonetheless, our understanding of Internet problem gambling behaviour remains in its infancy. The Internet gambling industry has witnessed tremendous growth in recent years.
